Track fees and miles per signing, not per trip

Notary Journal records the fee, travel fee and miles on each signing entry, then totals them by month and exports to CSV. It is a log, not an accounting suite. Check current IRS mileage rules or ask your tax professional before you deduct anything.

Fee per act and travel fee

You record the fee and the travel fee as separate amounts on each signing entry. Use the notary fee lookup to check what your state sets.

Mileage per signing

You enter the miles for each appointment on the entry itself, so mileage stays attached to the signing it belongs to rather than to a whole trip.

Monthly totals and export

The app totals fees and miles by month, and you export them to CSV for tax time. See the export page. IRS standard mileage rates and business-use rules change yearly, so check the current IRS standard mileage rates page or ask your tax professional before you deduct anything.

Who this is for

No, this is not a full notary business suite. It is a log for notaries who want fees and miles next to their journal entries. Read about loan signing agent business basics for the wider picture.

This page is not legal advice. Check your state's notary handbook for the rules that apply to you.

Join the waitlist. Notary Journal is not in the App Store yet. Use the waitlist on the get the app page and we will tell you when it is live.
