Your journal stays on your phone

Notary Journal stores journal entries on your device and locks the app with Face ID. It works offline and needs no account. Because the data lives on your phone, export a backup regularly. Some states also set rules for lost or stolen journals, so check your handbook.

Face ID lock

Notary Journal locks the app with Face ID, so only someone who passes the check opens your journal.

On-device storage and offline use

Journal entries are stored on your device, and the app works offline without signal.

No account

No, you do not need to sign up. There is no account to create.

Backups and device changes

Because the data lives on your phone, export a backup regularly with the PDF and CSV export. Some states also set rules for lost or stolen journals. California requires notification to the Secretary of State when a journal is lost or stolen (Gov Code 8206(b)). Read do notaries need a journal and our privacy policy.
